The AEG Microwave Oven type MCC3880EM was purchased when we had a new kitchen fitted only 18 months ago. It has now developed a fault in as much as the microwave function does not operate. This not in keeping with what should be expected from an AEG product and will now cost to be repaired as the guarantee is only 12 months. Very poor and a longer life than 18 months should be expected. Be wary when purchasing or best to take out an extended guarantee.

We also purchased the AEG Microwave Oven type MCD3880EM 2 years ago. The product has not had extensive use, only the occasional use, and yet an engineer came out after it stopped working completely and told us it was beyond economical repair. We now have to purchase another microwave at great cost. Surely as product such as this should last longer than 2 years! Please avoid purchasing AEG products, it just isn’t worth it.
